The UMatter Teen Leadership Program is all about empowering teens (YOU!) to become Mental Health Advocates and learn how to actively support others. Each session features inspiring speakers, hands-on activities, and meaningful discussions, making it a dynamic and fun learning experience.
Gain tips and strategies to actively support your friend or peer struggling, in a healthy and safe way:
- At what point does stress become unhealthy?
- What do I practically do if my friend is bullied?
- What is the Jewish approach to emotional health?
- And more topics, exploring mental health challenges how to break the stigma.
This program is also a valuable leadership initiative that can be highlighted on your college resume, showcasing your leadership, advocacy, and community impact. You have the power to lead change!

Who can apply?
All Jewish teens in the Fairfield County area, grades 9-12.
I don’t volunteer at Friendship Circle. May I still join this program?
Yes! This program is open for all Jewish teens.
